She Who Rises FT. Siera + Haseya
We celebrate Indigenous Peoples by honoring our family through visual medicine. We’re hoping that the blessing of new life and a mother’s love can uplift you and bring you good feelings.
My partner Siera embraced our Indigenous teachings to safely bring our baby girl Haseya to this world during the pandemic. Just like an infinite number of mothers, grandmothers, and warrior womxn, Siera prayed and listened to her body to protect and nurture Haseya. As our little matriarch gets older we look forward to showing her how she herself brought us medicine and how we wrapped her in our love to welcome her to the glittering world.
This short video is an all-Indigenous creative collaboration. Thank you my love @sweetsib for blessing us with your good words and all the ways you shine. Big shout out to @liv_theartist for creating such a beautiful film score.
Thank you family and friends for your continued support through this journey. We are also grateful for the health care providers at Phoenix Indian Medical Center for the thorough and kind service we received from our first pre-natal visits to post party luminaries. Elahkwa ✨✨
